The YL-21049 takes the simplest idea in garden watering — two dials, turn and forget — and fixes the one thing people always trip over: "when does it actually start?" A built-in Delay button lets you push the first watering to the exact hour you want, no counting backwards, no guesswork. No screen, no app, no menu — just set how often, set how long, tap Delay to the right hour, and let it run. It is the friendliest mechanical timer we make.
• Frequency can be set at 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24, 48, 72 H, and Week
• Run Time can be set at 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 60, 90, 120 mins
• Time Delay feature for easy setting of desired start watering time
• For taps with 26.5mm(G 3/4”) thread
• 2 x AAA alkaline batteries required(not included)
Heads-Up: This is a mechanical timer — brilliant in its simplicity, but it has no display or saved programs. One important rule: Frequency must always be longer than Run Time (e.g. you cannot set a 90-minute soak every single hour). The 2× AAA alkaline batteries are not included and should not be rechargeable. Use fresh cells at the start of each season.

Good to Know: Changing the Frequency dial recalculates the next start time; changing Run Time does not. After any change, wait ~3 seconds (LED flashes quickly) for the timer to validate. In winter or freezing weather, remove the timer, drain it, take out the batteries, and store it indoors.
Q: How is this different from a basic two-dial timer?
A: It has the same two dials, but adds a Delay button so you can set the exact start hour. No more working backwards from "first watering starts X hours later."
Q: How does the Delay button work?
A: Hold it about 3 seconds until the LED stays on, then each press adds one hour of delay to the start time. Two presses = water 2 hours later than now, repeating every cycle.
Q: Do I still just turn two dials?
A: Yes. Frequency = how often, Run Time = how long. The Delay button is optional — only use it if you want a specific start hour.
Q: How do I water right now without changing my settings?
A: Turn the Run Time dial to the ON position for instant manual watering, then back to OFF (or your usual setting) when finished.
Q: What batteries does it take?
A: Two AAA (LR03) 1.5V alkaline cells, not included. Use fresh alkaline batteries at the start of the season; do not use rechargeables.
Q: Will it fit my tap and hose?
A: The tap adaptor is a standard 3/4" (G3/4, 26.5 mm) thread with a hand-tightened collar ring, and the base has a male snap-on connector for a normal hose.
Q: Is it waterproof?
A: It is water-resistant for outdoor use, not submersible. Mount it above ground and vertical to the tap, keep the top cover and O-ring sealed, and never immerse it.
No menus, no manuals, no meltdowns — and now, no wrong-hour surprises. The YL-21049 keeps mechanical simplicity and finally lets you choose the start time. Two dials, one tap of a button, and your plants take care of themselves.
